What is My Personal Records?

It is Alberta’s personal health record. Albertans 14 and older can see some information from the provincial electronic health record: common labs, immunizations given in Alberta, and medicines dispensed in community pharmacies.

What is the mobile health card?

A digital Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan card. After you have a verified Alberta.ca Account, you can present the card at registration. Clinics can scan the code on your screen.

How is this different from MyChart?

My Personal Records is provincial. MyChart (Connect Care) is used by Alberta Health Services facilities on that system — appointments, messages with a care team, and notes from those sites. The MyHealth Alberta Account is the front door to both.

Can I see a child’s record?

Parent and guardian access can be granted for children under 14. Adults 14 and older manage their own record. Linking a child requires identity verification and proof of guardianship.

Is my information private?

Your personal health information is protected under Alberta’s Health Information Act. Only you and authorized care providers can see your record. Do not share your Alberta.ca password.

Who do I call?

911 in an emergency. 811 for Health Link, 24 hours. 988 for a mental health crisis. MyHealth Records support: 1-844-401-4016. Tri-Med Family Clinic: 825-415-5000.
